Second visit to the Fair is in the books. This one was all about Henry’s favorite things and classic Fair food. We went with his cousins and family and put on a solid seven hour Fair visit. Henry woke up at 1am and then several more times overnight, too excited to sleep.
Henry cheers them on!
Early start, started the morning at the horse show right when it opened.
The family joined us.
Then, chickens!
Chicken and rice bowl, impulse buy (inspired by seeing the chickens?) Not bad, and healthier than most fair food.
Quick detour to the classic carousel.
Henry ate his foot long hot dog so fast, this was all that was left by the time I remembered to take a picture.
Curds. Katie approves.
The John Deere pavilion is always a favorite.
More rides.
Rides on the Kidway.
Katie’s must have, a turkey-to-go sandwich.
Soft serve for Henry.
A family share bucket of Sweet Martha’s cookies, of course.
Yum!
Henry put a big dent in the all-you-can-drink milk.
Trip through the horse barn on the way out.
Thanks for joining us, Ben, @[1456852784:2048:Stephanie McDaniel], Eleanor and Ada!
Milking demonstration in the Moo Booth.
Henry tried his hand at it, and declared himself a farmer.
An annual favorite, the goats.
Henry was very sweet and gentle with them.
The result… Success! One happy and exhausted boy.
